Our program
Multiple Intelligences (MI) theory states that each person has different ways of learning and different intelligences they use in their daily lives. Every child is unique and has his or her own temperament and learning style.
Our program offers a variety of teaching methods.
We use pictures and objects,
We use music, arts and crafts,
We ask questions that invite careful thoughts and create discussions,
We use games and activities,
We invite special guests…
We reinforce learning through Multiple Intelligence.
Instructional Activity
Level 2 Chinese lesson
Our curriculum
We offer a model of enriching instruction combining both online teaching and in-person practice. This is composed of 30 minutes online sessions taught by bilingual teachers remotely from China, and 30 minutes in-person practice sessions interacting with local lead teachers in the classroom. Students will have Chinese lessons on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday, we will arrange large group activities such as yoga for children, movie and movie discussions, etc.
Our Chinese classes start with listening and speaking, and will then progress towards reading and writing pinyin after students achieve a certain level of fluency. We believe this is essential for fostering engagement in learning since Chinese characters are very difficult to write. We will introduce the written characters last after the students have acquired the spoken language.
Class contents may vary based on each week’s teaching content.
TPR teaching
TPR is an effective approach to teaching a second language, linking listening to physical movements. This is designed to enhance and reinforce comprehension, based on Multiple Intelligence Theory.
